Pluto travels through all the “signs”, such as Aries, Taurus, etc. Pluto takes a long time to do this. When the United States were born on July 4, 1776, Pluto was in Capricorn. It has taken more than 200 years for Pluto to again return to Capricorn. This happened, according to an article in Vanity Fair magazine, around late December of 2006. “A planetary configuration not seen since 1776 is coming our way, heralding chaos, revolution, and rebirth,” wrote author Michael Lutin.
This Pluto situation continues until the late 2020s, when the tiny demoted planet enters Aquarius. So the time frame for the current Pluto in Capricorn is roughly 2007 through the late 2020s.
The “main event” for the current Pluto cycle would have to be the crash of the housing bubble and its severe economic consequences. Years later, we have still not recovered from its effects. Instead of recovery, we have been given a carrot at the end of a stick: the more we run after the carrot, the more it recedes. This has been, in other words, the “prosperity is imminent” periodic reports in the so-called “news.” In 2009 this “prosperity is just around the corner” news theme was noticed by me at my Melchizedek Communique web site:
“Prosperity is just around the corner.” This was part of the propaganda in the 1930s. In the 1935 movie, “My Man Godfrey,” the “forgotten man” (William Powell) and his friends sneer at this: “I keep looking for that corner… You know, the one that prosperity is just around.”
This propaganda is echoed today: “Things will be picking up… Wall Street is bouncing back…”
And this “news” routine of “prosperity is just around the corner” had already been noticed by me in 2009! Bear this in mind when you consider the recent December 2013 reports about “good signs” in employment numbers and (again) the rumor we had at last turned the corner.
It ain’t gonna happen. The government statisticians and the “news” reporters are just manipulating the numbers. The latest December 2013 “news” of “Happy Days Are Here Again” was just part of a Christmas shopping season promotion. Since consumer spending is the main economic engine and the Christmas shopping season is crucial to sales, a “news” faker “Happy Days” report was issued. However preliminary reports indicate the strategy was less than successful and the holiday sales were mediocre.
We are in a serious economic mess and I predict things will be worse in 2014. Various tax breaks have been eliminated for the coming year. The new Health Care law, while admirable in its hope for better insurance, nonetheless diverts money away from discretionary spending. In the larger picture, the comeuppance represented by Pluto can not be escaped by wishful “news” reports. The “day” of reckoning is at hand (2007 through late 2020s).
The United States, born on July 4, 1776, is under the astrological sun sign of Cancer. Who are we? We are a nurturing people, but due to “the hostile presence of Mars and Uranus in our solar 12th house” we tend to smother in our nurturing. We are, wrote Michael Lutin, “the kind of nurturer that can bomb the hell out of a country one day and send over sandwiches and coffee the next. That makes the rest of the world love us and hate us.”
The smotherment of nurturing here in the United States is seen for example in a total no smoking ban enacted for the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Zero tolerance of smokers is now in effect on the campus in this small cosmopolitan city. Kindly nurturing volunteers will engage in dialogue with anyone seen smoking on campus. If this warm fuzzy Cancerian nurturing fails, then it is increasing fines and even jail time. These nurturements arriving at the U of I campus shall include even the now verboten “e-cigarette” devices, which emit no fumes.
As in the time of America’s Revolutionary War, Pluto has again returned to Capricorn. Furthermore, there is “an opposition of Pluto in the sign of Capricorn to our Cancer sun.” Things are going to get increasingly “heavy.” You thought 2013 was bad? That was nothing compared with 2014 and beyond! Many people “will probably be nervous wrecks during the two turbulent decades ahead…”
“Prosperity is just around the corner” stories from the “news” fakers will increasingly be doubted. And what then? Pluto deals with death and regeneration. As in the Revolutionary War times, “people will fight back, and the ensuing struggle will lead to the eventual transformation and rebirth of America.”
But in the meantime, while we wait for that happy day in the late 2020s, look for reality to become increasingly inescapable. No amount of “Happy Days” reports from the “news” fakers is going to change that.
