Protocols of the Elders of Kenya

Reaching into the vaults of my old Conspiracy Nation web site, we find the following, first published on October 28, 2008. (Modified for re-publication.)

It was “Rumor Season” in October 2008 due to the imminent election, noticed the so-called Associated Press. (But see Rotating Assignments for AP, Ersjdamoo’s Blog entry of January 10, 2014.) “It’ll only get worse between now and Election Day.”

Wikileaks investigative editor Julian Assange did not find credible a leaked document purporting to show “a secret agreement between the now Prime Minister Raila Odinga [image above] and the Kenyan Muslim minority to introduce, among other matters, Sharia courts to Kenya.” Assange, tongue-in-cheek, called the leaked purported document a sort of Kenyan-islamic “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”. [1]

Mark Hyman, however, as of October 12, 2008, implicitly found the purported document to be credible. Writing in the Washington Times newspaper, Hyman reported some details of the “Memorandum of Understanding” to be “shocking. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of ‘Islam as the only true religion,’ Islamic leaders would have an ‘oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions [emphasis in original],’ installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who ‘allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists,’ adoption of a women’s dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork. [2]

How this “Memorandum of Understanding”, here called “Protocols of the Elders of Kenya” (PEK), connects with Barack Obama is that Raila Odinga had not been a favored candidate in the 2007 Kenyan election. Until, that is, Barack Obama came to Kenya in 2006 and campaigned on behalf of Odinga. “Mr. Obama denies that supporting Mr. Odinga was the intention of his trip, but his actions and local media reports tell otherwise.” [2]

You can try a search on “Memorandum of Understanding Kenya Odinga” to find the original PEK purported document. According to Mark Hyman (op. cit.) Raila Odinga had at first denied any ties to Muslim leaders. But then, reportedly, Odinga backed off his previous denials when the purported PEK document became public. [2]

But of more interest is that Odinga is a Marxist who received a college scholarship from East Germany and named his first-born son after Fidel Castro. Why would Barack Obama travel to Kenya in 2006 and support the candidacy of a Communist? And why did Fidel Castro and Louis Farrakhan both endorse Obama for president?

(In 2006, Louis Farrakhan visited Cuba and was impressed by how Cuba micro-manages her citizens, “house by house, block by block and street by street.” [3] While in Cuba, Farrakhan was personally entertained by Fidel Castro.)
