The German Kaiser had his own “Rasputin”: Houston Stewart Chamberlain. Chamberlain was born in England in 1855 and moved to Germany 27 years later. In 1899, Chamberlain’s book, Die Grundlagen des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts (The Foundations of the Nineteenth Century), “exploded like a bomb upon the receptive minds of the German nation and made him famous overnight.”
Kaiser Wilhelm II invited Chamberlain to the imperial court and said to him, “It was God who sent your book to the German people and you personally to me.” The friendship between Chamberlain and the Kaiser grew, just as the friendship between Grigori Rasputin and the Russian Tsar and Tsarina also grew. Chamberlain became accepted at the Potsdam Palace as spiritual mentor of the Royal Household. “His position there was more securely established and yet more dangerous than Rasputin’s hold over the Romanov Court.”
But German General Helmuth Johann Ludwig von Moltke (also known as Moltke the Younger) became extremely disturbed by the influence Chamberlain was having on the Kaiser. Von Moltke was more scholar than soldier, and his main interest was the quest for the Holy Grail. Von Moltke’s quest led to his becoming friends with Dr. Rudolf Steiner, founder of Anthroposophy (image).
One thing which bothered von Moltke about Chamberlain was that the Kaiser’s “Rasputin” wrote most of his works “in a condition of trance in which hierarchies of evil spirits manifested themselves before his gaze.”
In Germany it became a battle between the forces of the Holy Grail and the forces of evil. The evil forces met behind the veil of the Thule Group, a German occultist and völkisch group in Munich. Dietrich Eckart, mentor of Adolph Hitler, warned that Rudolf Steiner was “the leading figure of an extensive circle of Grail Initiates who had discovered the satanic nature of the Thule Group and watched over all their meetings and initiation rituals from the astral plane.” This would be similar perhaps to the “remote viewing” experiments revealed in the 1990s upon the declassification of certain documents related to the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency’s Stargate Project.
After the seeming total disappearance of Tsar Nicholas II and his family in July 1918; after Kaiser Wilhelm’s abdication on November 9, 1918; then was the time of the Tsar vacuum in Russia and the Kaiser vacuum in Germany. “Nature abhors a vacuum,” the saying goes. Into these Kaiser/Tsar vacuums rushed, in Germany, the Dark Kaiser Adolph Hitler and, in Russia, the Red Tsar Josef Stalin – both grotesque permutations.
The two grotesque permutations, the Dark Kaiser and the Red Tsar, fought it out in World War II. At this time of deadly battles, Anna Anderson (image), who claimed to be the surviving Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, found temporary refuge outside of Hanover, Germany with Anthroposophists she had met. These followers of Rudolf Steiner, alleged leader of the Grail Initiates, became increasingly intrigued by Anna/Anastasia. Especially interested in her was Baroness Monica Miltitz, whose “later writings would show clearly how she came to believe that Anastasia symbolized the collective experience of the soul of Russia.”
After World War II had ended, Anna/Anastasia resided in a former army barracks in the small village of Unterlengenhardt, on the edge of the Black Forest, in Germany. In this small village lived a community of Anthroposophists. One of these Anthroposophists, upon finding out who Anna Anderson really was, volunteered to live with and help protect the alleged Grand Duchess. This friend to Anna/Anastasia was Adele Heydebrand.
The danger to the little woman of the Black Forest came not just from the psychic plane. Besides usually carrying a hidden dagger, Anna/Anastasia kept large dogs at her home in Unterlengenhardt, where she resided between 1946 and 1968. (Background: Great Danger To Anna Anderson, Ersjdamoo’s Blog, October 15, 2014.)
During the First World War, Adele Heydebrand had cared for Rudolf Steiner, founder of Anthroposophy, and kept him alive. She thereby assisted Steiner in his occult battle against the dark forces. Now Mrs. Heydebrand protected the living soul of Russia, which was embodied in the diminutive woman who claimed to be the surviving Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia.
