If you listen carefully to the tail end of the trailer for Neverlake, an Italian horror film released in 2013, you will hear these words: “Horror is nothing but the truth.” Have no fear, amici, the film is in English, even though it takes place in Italy and is directed by Riccardo Paoletti, obviously an Italian. The Neverlake trailer appears in yesterday’s blog entry.
Horror is nothing but the truth. In the 1980s, books by Stephen King and Peter Straub were immensely popular. If you were like me, you couldn’t wait for the next of these books to appear. The horror fiction of King and Straub touched a nerve with the public: they knew vaguely there were some frightening things going on, but they could not quite put their finger on what it was. King and Straub filled the gap, in the 1980s.
Then came the 1990s and the arrival of Internet. A new type of horror story, horror stories which might be true, pushed aside the terrifying tales of King and Straub. These new horror stories were the so-called “conspiracy theories.”
The New Jersey railway station was bitterly cold that night. The year was 1910 and it was approaching 10 pm. At the far end of the platform, at a gate seldom used at this hour of night, sat a gleaming car with its shades drawn. Muffled in overcoats so that they could not easily be recognized, top financiers scurried past any inquisitive onlookers and entered the plush car. Their secret destination was a mysterious island off the coast of Georgia.
This horror story which might be true is found in chapter 1 of a curious book, The Creature From Jekyll Island, by G. Edward Griffin. The secretive financiers were plotting to take monopoly control of the U.S. money supply. Their plot was much bigger than any mere Goldfinger conspiracy to rob Fort Knox. For the Jekyll Island gang planned to steal all the money of the United States!
I personally believe this Jekyll Island horror story is in fact true. Support for this opinion can be found in a book by the late Eustace Mullins, Secrets of the Federal Reserve. However in the new genre of horror, the so-called “conspiracy theories”, one can read the tales and decide for oneself.
“The horror, the horror,” gasps renegade Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Marlon Brando) in the 1979 movie, Apocalypse Now. How much is true and how much is fiction in the story of a man who went “over the edge” after staring into the abyss of the Vietnam War? “When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you,” warned Friedrich Nietzsche. When I first watched the film The Exorcist in the 1970s, I was terribly afraid and had to sometimes look away from the screen. The abyss was sometimes too terrifying for me; my psychological nerve was not strong enough to face it. This is why I do not blame persons who retreat in fear (disguised as “being rational”) from the “conspiracy theories.”
Recent items of horror:
- The Russian royal family, the Romanovs, may have escaped the alleged “mass murder in the cellar” of 1918. I personally have no doubt that the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna did escape and lived under the name Anna Anderson. There are ramifications to this which inescapably lead to the smothering presence of a “hidden hand.” Recent painstaking reports at Ersjdamoo’s Blog detailing enigmas regarding the fate of the Romanovs were too psychologically terrifying for many readers, who screamed in trepidation at this blogger, yelling Cthulhu chants about “DNA evidence.” (See for background example, Brain Trauma Suffered by Anastasia, Ersjdamoo’s Blog, October 30, 2014.)
- Concurrent with France, Belgium and Austria about to seize Russian assets over the Yukos dispute, Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for the Russian government’s Investigative Committee, wants the international community to investigate lost footage from the 1969 moon landing and the current location of all lunar soil obtained on subsequent missions. This represents a “feeler” sent out by Russia, tip-toeing close to the edge as they had in February 2015 when Russia’s Pravda news briefly published a story that Vladimir Putin, Russian President, was on the verge of revealing bombshell evidence about the surreal events of September 11, 2001 (“9/11”). (Background: Bob Simon Assassinated?, Ersjdamoo’s Blog, February 12, 2015.)
- “Boehner surrenders keys to U.S. sovereignty”. Thus read the e-mail headline from World Net Daily. But when I clicked on same, there was a “Messerschmitt attack” – “Connected to ajax.googleapis.com” said the browser, and said no more! My browser had disappeared into Google, like 130 children who had disappeared into the side of a mountain in Hamelin, Germany in 1284 AD. Alerted to the “Messerschmitt attack” coming from Google, now aligned with DARPA and prominent in the Bilderberg 2015 meeting, angels counter-attacked and I got past the Google barrier on a second attempt. It now appears that the U.S. Senate will approve a revised “fast track” TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) bill passed by the House of Representatives. Senator Jeff Sessions fears TPP and a related avaricious acronym TPA would turn over important congressional powers to a new international body, creating an economic union akin to a “nascent European Union” and prevent lawmakers from removing any objectionable provisions. This creeping surrender of sovereignty amounts to a gradual destruction of the United States, as such. Sessions is also alarmed that the deal could be used to accelerate the immigration of foreign workers at a time when Americans are hurting for jobs.
