Prince Rogers Nelson, known as “Prince”, died at age 57 on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Various conspiracy theories about his death – including that he is not dead but in Cuba – have surfaced. Here a summary of the Prince conspiracy theories is given.
Thus reads the description for my latest video, “Prince Finds Peace,” published to YouTube on April 22, 2016. The clip, which clocks in at 7 minutes and 55 seconds, can hopefully be viewed at the top of today’s blog entry.
Prince’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure stated, “It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57,” reported the International Business Times.
The Iceman came for Prince, and he has found peace, just as Theodore “Hicky” Hickman promised in Eugene O’Neill’s play, The Iceman Cometh.
Some of the “conspiracy theories” about the death of Prince being reported include one from legendary singer Aretha Franklin, who speculated that Prince died from the Zika virus, reported the International Business Times. Others had said it was influenza, i.e., “the flu.”
International Business Times reports also that “some netizens claim that Prince is still alive, and is probably in Cuba with Tupac Shakur” while “others maintained the queen of England killed Prince because it was her 90th birthday.”
International Business Times reports another conspiracy theory, that someone always dies right before awards shows. Whitney Houston had died just before the Grammy awards in 2012. Michael Jackson died just days before the Black Entertainment Television awards in 2009. With the BET show slated for June 26th this year, some are noticing a coincidence between it and the death of Prince.
My own take is that this could be a Rudolph Valentino situation. On August 15, 1926, Valentino collapsed at the Hotel Ambassador, Park Avenue, New York. He was hospitalized and died on August 23rd. An estimated 100,000 people lined the streets of New York City to pay their respects at his funeral. Suicides of despondent fans were reported. Windows were smashed as fans tried to get in and an all-day riot erupted on August 24.
Anton Lambert, in a comment posted to the IBT report, claimed that Prince “almost certainly died of an opiate overdose. He was living in absolute hell, pain caused by chronic hip degenaration, bone crushing against bone no cartilage in both hips. He was taking opiates morning noon and night. He might’ve had flu at the time but it was the painkillers that done it.”
Jack Wetherill of Britain’s Daily Star newspaper notices a strange final self-portrait posted to Instagram just one week ago. The Instagram post included the caption, “JUST WHEN U THOUGHT U WERE SAFE…” Some are finding it suspicious that the caption has since been deleted.
One fan wrote: “I already found the caption so scary. Now he’s dead and now it’s gone.”
The Iceman cometh. Instead of hope, Prince has found peace.
In other news, it has been discovered that Edgar Allan Poe apparently traveled to Europe and met with Alexandre Dumas. This places Poe ever closer to the Poe Land (Poland), as explained in my video, hopefully viewable below.
The video, “Poe and the Fake Rabbi”, clocks in at about 8 minutes and was published to YouTube on April 21, 2016. Its description reads, “Edgar Allan Poe moves ever closer to Poland after discovery of information that Poe had met with Alexandre Dumas in Europe and that Poe carried with him a letter from Col. Sylvanus Thayer, commandant of West Point, recommending Poe for an officer’s commission in the Polish army. Edgar Allan Poe, during his life, may have worked for U.S. counter-intelligence. The mysterious Poe Land (Poland) witnesses now an odd situation of a fake Rabbi there who was neither a rabbi nor even Jewish.”
Acknowledgement for this breakthrough new information placing Poe in Europe goes to Jeffrey Steinberg. In his article for the Schiller Institute, “The Purloined Life Of Edgar Allan Poe,” Steinberg writes in part, “My hypothesis is that Poe was one of the leading American republican counterintelligence officers, and that he was working for the Cincinnatus Society military intelligence circles. He was sent to Europe in the early 1830s as part of a trans-Atlantic campaign by the Society to make republican revolutions in France and Poland, and elsewhere, if possible.”
