Thanks to stupid viewer comments to my “Boriska Update” video, I have been nudged out of depression. Which is the true holy mount, Mount Gerizim or Mount Zion? Are the Samaritans, who venerate Mount Gerizim, the truer Jews?
Thus reads the description for my latest video, “Viewer Comments”, published to YouTube on July 27, 2016. The clip, which clocks in at 8 minutes and 22 seconds, can hopefully be viewed at the top of today’s blog entry.
In my earlier video, Boriska Update, published to YouTube on May 30, 2016, several inane comments helped nudge me out of a state of depression. Here is a sample:
- From Douglas Grant: “Your ‘ACT’ is both boring and DUMB! You’re not amusing or clever in the LEAST. After 5 minutes I could no longer stand you. Don’t quit your day job!”
- From laotzu4272: “You should learn to talk at the same rate as normal humans.”
- From Baba Orielly: “Cut the act and the crap… if any of this is or was real you have undermined it by talking like your telling a campfire story to 3rd graders…”
I had been depressed about how votes in the Democrat Party primary elections had been brazenly stolen in favor of Hillary Clinton and that few seemed to be bothered by this. Benedict Arnold is acknowledged as a traitor for attempting to surrender the fortifications at West Point in 1780. But that was only one fort! Hillary Clinton has sold out the entire nation to Wall Street, and stolen votes as well, yet few seem to care. “The hell with it,” I muttered and sank into the blues. Yet then along came some real idiots who stirred me from my lethargy with their comments.
While in my depressed state, I went back in time to lose myself in history. Who were the Samaritans? I delved into this and found that the Samaritans only essentially differ from the Jews on the question of, Where is the holy mount? In John 4: 20, a Samaritan woman says to Jesus, “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain; and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” Which is the true holy mountain, Mount Gerizim of the Samaritans, or Mount Zion of the Judeans? My research is pointing to Mount Gerizim as the true holy mountain.
