Buzz Saw From the Left

From the authentic left comes a buzz saw of fury at how they have been screwed over by dishonest Democrat Party primary elections, exemplified by an Empire Files episode by Abby Martin. From the populist right may come a similar buzz saw of fury. In the middle of the two buzz saws is Hillary Clinton.

Thus reads the description for my latest video, “Buzz Saw From the Left”, published to YouTube on August 5, 2016. The clip, which clocks in at 8 minutes and 43 seconds, can hopefully be viewed at the top of today’s blog entry.

In “Empire Files: Abby Martin Exposes What Hillary Clinton Really Represents”, Abby Martin gives an encapsulated biography of the Clintons which can help latecomers get up to speed. In 27 minutes, Abby Martin covers the bases for the whole sordid Bill & Hillary story. Coming as it does in the time frame of the dishonest Democrat Party primary elections, the Empire Files episode gives extra meaning to left-wing fury in the context of faux democracy. The video should be available at this link. [1]

From the real left (not the fake Frankfurt School left of identity politics) comes a buzz saw of fury at how they have been so shabbily treated. This fury might express itself as votes for Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate. And some will go further by voting not just against Hillary Clinton but even actually for Donald Trump! Ouch!

At the moment, no buzz saw of fury is approaching Hillary Clinton from the right. For now, the populist right is dumbfounded by how their candidate seems to have suddenly gone limp. There is some chatter about how Donald Trump might even be a straw man, working secretly to get Hillary Clinton into the White House!

But suppose there were two buzz saws of fury: one approaching Hillary Clinton from the left; the other approaching Hillary Clinton from the right. If such were the case, it might again be time for the Clinton gang to steal votes from the voting machines.

The Republican Party establishment is not happy about having Donald Trump as their candidate. And so too were the Republican Party big shots against Abraham Lincoln as their standard bearer in 1864. This strange situation is documented in Carl Sandburg’s classic biography of Lincoln. Big bank interests wanted Salmon Chase to be the 1864 Republican Party nominee. The Washington branch of Jay Cooke & Company poured money into the Chase campaign. A “Pomeroy Secret Circular” was leaked which advised against a Lincoln candidacy. Gleefully laughed the Democrat Party press: “Go on, gentlemen! wash your dirty linen in public.” [2]

But Abraham Lincoln was nominated, then re-elected, in 1864. And it was then that things within the Republican Party establishment began to take a darker turn. Old Abe wanted to go easy on the South, and even welcome them back fully into the Union. And so Thaddeus Stevens, leader of the “Radical” faction of the Republican Party, “warmed into life the brutal instincts of [Edwin] Stanton, [Joseph] Holt and [Lafayette] Baker, to have Lincoln assassinated.” [3]
