Baton down the hatches, it is the first week of the Donald Trump presidency. If nothing else, it promises to be lively. This morning, President Trump tweets: “Busy week planned with a heavy focus on jobs and national security. Top executives coming in at 9:00 A.M. to talk manufacturing in America.”
Thus reads the description for my latest video, “First Week Of Trump”, published to YouTube on January 23, 2017. The clip, which clocks in at 8 minutes and 21 seconds, can hopefully be viewed at the top of today’s blog entry.
This morning, President Trump tweets as follows:

Although some consider it undignified for a U.S. president to be tweeting, they do not say the same about former-president Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) who also embraced the new technology of his time (radio) with his “fireside chats”.
Donald Trump’s latest tweets can be read at this link: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump.
Trump is constantly being vilified by some as a “dictator” and a “fascist”. But what sort of strange “fascist” is this, who tweeted yesterday about the Women’s March of January 21st as follows:
Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views.
A current controversy is, how many people attended the inauguration on January 20th? Opinions differ, but apparently a huge number of people at least watched Trump’s inauguration as president. President Trump tweeted yesterday as follows:
Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!
During the inauguration speech, about 10 military officers appeared and briefly stood behind the new president. What secret signal may have been given by this? A warning not to interfere with the peaceful transition of power, a la “We stand behind this man”? World Socialist Web Site noticed the circumstance and theorized about it.
The Mighty Wurlitzer: How the CIA Played America, is a book by Hugh Wilford. Six corporations own or control 90 percent of American “news” media. The Mighty Wurlitzer heretofore has dictated the topic of the daily national conversation. Even honest web sites which attempt to counter claims being made by mainstream “news” nonetheless are having the daily topic itself dictated to them. However the beginnings of an alternative national conversation, whose theme is not ordered up by the Mighty Wurlitzer, is being seen to appear in various YouTube webcasts.
