FBI Director James Comey was fired by President Donald Trump on May 9, 2017. Much fevered speculation then erupted, especially in the mainstream “news”. Here is my theory about what is going on behind the scenes.
Rumored indictments of Hillary Clinton have long been a mainstay of alternative news sources. This began way back in the 1990s: Hillary was about to be indicted; Hillary had been indicted, but the indictments had been sealed. These sorts of reports kept appearing over the years, like bobbing apples.
So when, around May 3, 2017, Internet video reporter H.A. Goodman began insisting that indictments of Ms. Clinton were imminent, this seemed to be nothing new. However when Director Comey was fired on May 9th, Goodman’s reports took on new significance.
“Why didn’t Trump fire Comey back in January, when the new president was inaugurated?” was the question asked by a guest on the Crosstalk program, hosted by Peter Lavelle and broadcast by the dreaded Russia Today (RT) network. “I find the timing suspicious,” opined the guest. Unrecognized by the guest was that the new president was dealing with massive obstructionism back in January and was having huge difficulties getting his cabinet nominations confirmed. Before firing Comey, Trump may have wanted to have his new Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, comfortably settled in at the Justice Department.
Hillary Clinton once stated, “If I go down, a lot of other people will go down with me.” Ms. Clinton is the central cog in a wheel of corruption. Not just she would be affected by indictment and prosecution. Hence there has been panicked reporting this past week, consequent to the Comey firing. FBI Director Comey is removed, and who will be the new Director? That is the question of the day. With Comey out of the way, the path is being further cleared for indictments against the central cog, and the adjunct cogs are increasingly frightened. Anyway, that is my theory of the Comey firing.
