Here it starts – maybe. Just when northern America is frozen into gloom; just when New Year distractions are on the rise; just when President Donald Trump has become another Teflon president like Ronald Reagan, it begins.
The Syria war wasn’t going so well. President Bashar al-Assad had survived. Thanks mostly to Russia, ISIS had been decapitated. So what do you do when your “Assad must go” Syria war has failed? You move on, that’s what you do. A new President, a new strategy.
Enter Donald Trump, now a Teflon president. So much garbage has been thrown at him that he has a Teflon coating: any criticism at this point just slides right off him. Ironically, the mainstream “news” has paved the way for this: they have “vaccinated” Trump against honest criticism by means of a year-long overdose of baloney.
In Syria, the disaster of 400,000 dead began with groovy protesters: they “spontaneously” took to the streets, coincidentally also demanding that “Assad must go.” Now, in the past few days, in Iran, demonstrations have erupted over “falling living standards.”
The Teflon President #2 tweets, in part, that the people of Iran are “fed up” with the regime’s “squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad.” Et tu, Brute? Squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund wars abroad?
Iran says “anti-revolutionaries and agents of foreign powers” are responsible for the demonstrations there. But they would say that, wouldn’t they? After all, Iran is the pinnacle of evil, we keep being told. Yet no one explains exactly why this is so.
Back in May 2017, when President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson visited Saudi Arabia, a glowing orb ceremony took place. This presaged that we would be siding with Saudi Arabia against Iran. A proxy war in Yemen between those two nations has been underway. The latest street demonstrations in Iran may signify an escalation in the conflict.
