Troops To Border

You go to those fine dining places and enjoy the cuisine. Thanks to Mexicans who have crept in to these United States, the cost to you for the exquisite gourmand experience is less. The hard-working Mexicans keep the price down for you, the yuppie gourmet.

But now, President Donald Trump is dispatching National Guard troops to the southern U.S. border! This threatens YOU, Mr. and Ms. Yuppie Gourmet! Without those Mexicans creeping in, the fancy restaurant will have to hire American. And the American workers will have to be paid more than the hard-working Mexicans. That, in turn, means your fine dining pastime is about to cost you more money.

Pity the poor yuppies and their fine dining experience, now grievously threatened by troops being sent to the border.

But the yuppies have a strategy: It is not about them – oh no, perish the thought – it is about how they really care so much about the poor Mexicans. And so break out the violins while the yuppies serenade you with caring songs about the sufferings of the migrants. (And incidentally, the cost of yuppie fine dining will not rise.)

It is the yuppies though who truly exploit the Mexicans. There’s no reason why temporary worker visas (if needed due to a true labor shortage) can’t be established, so there’d be no need for the Mexicans to sneak across the border. No reason, except without fear of sudden deportation the Mexicans might demand higher pay. And that might cause indigestion to the dear yuppies when their bills for the fine dining rise.

Scab labor is pouring across the border. The American workers are the Union. Amazingly, the Democrats, once supposed to be the party of working-class Americans, are on the side of union busting! And President Donald Trump of the Republican Party, once supposed to favor the wealthy, is against scab labor! He favors the Union of American workers. To stop the scabs, he is sending troops to the border.
