There is showing signs of bad spleen against Julian Assange. Sometimes the spleen goes wrong and persons become splenetic, i.e., marked by bad temper, malevolence, or spite. But which came first, the malevolence or the bad spleen, i.e., does the malevolence cause bad spleen or does bad spleen cause malevolence?
Julian Assange caused huge embarrassment to the Deep State. A phony rape charge was to be used to get Assange to Sweden. From there he would be extradited to the bowels of the Deep State, there to stew in the bile.
But the Ecuadoran government at the time was sympathetic to Assange and granted him asylum in their London embassy. For years Assange was in Limbo. Then, a new political faction gained control in Ecuador and Assange was nudged out of the embassy. The Brits grabbed Assange for jumping bail and sentenced him to a year in prison. And now the Swedes have re-opened the rape case. It is obvious what follows: Assange transferred to Sweden and from there to the bowels of the Deep State.
Showing some guts in the tawdry situation is Chelsea Manning (nee Bradley Manning) who refuses to assist in the mastication and digestion of Julian Assange. The idea is that Manning is supposed to show that Assange persuaded him to break the law, thereby making Assange complicit. But Manning so far refuses to cooperate with the grand jury probiotics.
At a higher level, the Deep State has been salivating for the bones of President Donald Trump, but the U.S. president is harder for them to gobble up and digest.
We all see what is being done to Julian Assange. But what can we do about it? Assange does not, like Trump, have powerful politicians and some big “news” persons on his side. Does Donald Trump dare to pardon Assange, or even Maria Butina? If he did, the howl of “Putin’s pawn” would grow loud.
